Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara is now officially a nonprofit organization. On February 12th, we received our Letter of Determination, informing us that we meet the criteria required to receive 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. What does this mean, you ask? Being officially registered as a nonprofit allows us to:
- apply for and receive grants
- accept donations
- accept sponsorships
We can now provide those companies/individuals who make a donation or sponsor a child with our nonprofit tax info for a tax write-off.
Now here is where you can help: Please spread the word! Anyone can donate directly on our webpage (www.aksb.org) to help us continue doing the work we do.
Know of an organization that would like to sponsor a child? Give the interested party my contact info (Linda Placencia 805-870-5437 or email: Linda@trilogynet.org) or give me theirs and let them know I’ll be contacting them soon.
Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
