As reported on KEYT3, Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara was one of the local businesses who partnered with the Youth Services Specialists Program of the Counsel on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse to encourage teens to remain drug and alcohol free with their “Free 4 the Weekend” event. During the weekend, many teens from Carpinteria to Goleta pledged to be drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free for the weekend. Local businesses then supported participating teens by giving free services or goods during the weekend. Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara offered a free Saturday morning Aikido class for participating teens.
There is no doubt that teen drug rehab centers play a significant role in curbing teenage drug addiction.
