We did it!! …Already!
In an effort to raise awareness about our work with underprivileged and at-risk youth, we set a goal to build our Facebook fan base to 400 by the 4th of July. That gave us just 3 weeks to get about 80 more fans.
We twittered, tagged our Facebook profile photo (over and over), and sent out notices to our current fans and Art of Peace subscribers, explaining how to suggest our page to their friends. And you followed the directions and sent out “Page Suggestions” to your friends for us!
The result was that our fan base grew 3 times faster than we had anticipated! Finally Nicole Schafer clicked on “Become A Fan”, making her Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara’s “Fan Number 400″! We think that the “rock star” who sent her the Page Suggestion was Yvette Garcia. Thanks, Yvette!
We now have Facebook Fans from all over the world – Italy, Germany, Tunisia, etc.!
