Collaboration with Girls Inc.

Girls Inc.Today our Executive Director and Head Instructor Lia Suzuki met with Melisa Gleason, the Program Director of Girls Incorporated of Greater Santa Barbara to discuss future collaboration.  Ms. Gleason had a chance to see the Santa Barbara Buddhist Temple, where Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara classes are currently being held, and also to view a presentation, describing our Aikido classes and the benefits children receive from their Aikido training with us.

The decision was reached to move forward to develop programs that would be mutually beneficial to both AKSB and Girls Inc.

Stay tuned for new developments…

If your nonprofit organization would like to discuss the possibility of collaboration with Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara, please contact our Executive Director, Lia Suzuki.
