Fall-A-Thon Impressions

I marveled at the energy, drive, and enthusiasm of our young Aikidoka members! They amazed me with their fierce tenacity and joyful fearlessness in going all out. Such determined turbo charged mighty ‘mites’, so eager to squeeze in just one more roll before time ran out!

I am proud to be a member of Aikido Kenkyukai Santa Barbara. It is a dojo that is truly committed to serving the community by affording deserving youth the gift of practicing the Art of Peace, Aikido. Certainly the young Aikidoka practice Aikido techniques, falling and tumbling skills, and related games, however, they are most importantly cultivating effective and non-violent ways of dealing with conflict that they can utilize off the Aikido mat. Awareness, respect, and cooperation with challenging circumstances are skills Lia Suzuki Sensei instills in these young hearts and minds.

AKSB is a small dojo but it has a big heart and Santa Barbara is profoundly enriched and enhanced because of it!
