Teens’ Perspective: Kids Testing

…it definately gave me a better idea of what it is that I need to improve on when working with the kids and my peers.

March 3rd, our kids and teens had the opportunity to test. Many kids came from the Goleta dojo, and overall, it was a large group.  Keeping it all under control was challenging, but in the end, we pulled it off.

Seeing the kids testing gave everyone a better sense of what needs to be worked on with the kids to help them have a better test next time. Since I was one of the people chosen to review testing materials with the younger kids and my peers, it definately gave me a better idea of what it is that I need to improve on when working with the kids and my peers.

Since I help with the kids classes at least twice a month, I have noticed that kids have more fun when there are more kids present. Having all the kids from the Goleta dojo come to test seemed to boost the energy level, thus resulting in everyone having a good time.

Again, testing isn’t only a time for those testing to show off what they’ve learned or improved upon, it’s also a time to learn what it is you still need to learn, or still need to improve upon.
