Hello there, my name is Kara Chin and I will be interning at AKSB for the summer. I came across this internship on Craigslist and I found it caught my attention for two reasons. The first is that I have a strong background in martial arts having done Tae Kwon Do for a number of years as a kid and having started Hapkido this past year. The second is that I wanted to expand my interest in graphic design to more than just being my major.
I was very impressed by how much effort this organization has put into spreading the word about their mission just by looking at the website and other social media sites alone. My interview and orientation with Lia Sensei further enforced my excitement to intern here. AKSB seems like a great place to be able to learn things that will be entirely new to me and in an environment that is btoh warm and welcoming.
I hope that with my skills in design I can help increase the interest of AKSB in this community and help spread the word about the benefits of Aikido. I am looking forward to my first day of interning at AKSB!
