Several weeks ago, I was unfortunate enough to come down with pneumonia. Since I decided to wait over a week to go to the doctors’, my recovery took much longer than if I had gone in after a few days. Being sick for several weeks meant I obviously missed out on a lot of Aikido, including the Ikeda Sensei Seminar which was a bummer. After those several weeks of being stuck at home and slowly going insane, I was finally feeling up to making it to Aikido. Being out for that long really took its toll because to put it simply, I felt a bit lost, things that I did no problem before felt akward, clumsy, and much more challenging than I remembered it. Despite all that, it felt good to get back on the mat and not be stuck at home trying to find something good on TV.
