Advanced training program for dojo members 30 years of age and over
The Total Immersion, 30+ program is intended for the serious student, wishing to bring his or her training to the next level while developing leadership skills within the dojo. The program outline takes into account that this age-group usually has commitments and obligations that do not allow them to be as involved as their younger counter-parts. The Total Immersion, 30+ participant will also gain valuable experience behind-the-scenes, gaining knowledge and practical experience in the day-to-day operations of the dojo as a nonprofit corporation.
In order to be nominated, candidates need to have already been a member of AKSB for a minimum of 8 months and demonstrate a genuine eagerness to learn.
The program offers a variety of benefits, including but not limited to:
- Admission to the monthly Total Immersion, 30+ Training & Mentoring Class, which focuses on:
- Advanced technique
- Ukemi
- Weapons training
- Aikido principles and philosophy
- Teacher training
- Hands on experience in running a non-profit dojo

- All dojo events, workshops, and seminars
