Community Service
The McKinley School was unable to pay the salary of their beloved gym teacher. They had a fundraiser and asked Aikido Kenkyukai to donate their time by giving an aikido demonstration.

Adults
Members from the adults' class took a trip to Japan, where they had the opportunity to train with Takeda Sensei and other AKI instructors. The trip culminated with participation in the annual spring training and demonstration with the Doshu (grandson of the founder of aikido) at the famous Hachiman Shrine.

Kids brought their parents so they could teach them basic aikido techniques and show them what they've learned so far. Parents got a greater appreciation for how hard their kids work each week.
